Welcome to Presentation Facts!
My name is Bob Befus and what started as a a little rant at the end of a long day in 2005 has become a bit of a passion me.
For years I have been highly suspicious of quite a bit of the presentation related common wisdom that is so often given and received as fact in our field. It has bothered me that there is so little hard data in an area of communication that is so important. It’s also bothered me that what little data I was aware of was 20+ years old.
Presentation Facts was originally launched in 2005 as a category of the VisualBeing blog that was started by my friend Lee Potts. Recently I thought that PF needed its own home and its own focus. All of the Presentation Facts posts on VisualBeing will be copied here, however, future posts will be added to this site only.
The purpose of this blog is to find and post about applicable research in the area of presentation effectiveness. Along the way,we hope to dispel many of the myths that are often propagated as fact out there in the presentation industry. We are committed to posting only well researched and referenced information on this site… and we hope you will join in with a lively and thought provoking discussion.
